About Us
Ana Siljak is an Associate Professor of Humanities at the Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education at the University of Florida. She is the author of a number of articles on the philosophy and culture of the Russian Renaissance. Her edition of a translation of Nikolai Berdyaev's correspondence with Jacques Maritain will be published on March 1, 2025. She is completing a book on Nikolai Berdyaev's life and thought.
Hieromonk Joseph (Panteleimon Pavlinciuc) is the head curator for the Berdyaev Museum in Clarmart, France. In 2014, he completed his doctorate in History, Texts and Documents at Sorbonne University. His dissertation was entitled "Monastic life in Moldova during the Soviet period: The Monastery of Noul-Neamt." Hiermomonk Joseph is an ordained monastic at the Monastery of Noul-Neamt in Moldova.
Christopher Eybergen is an MA history student at Queen's University. He is working on the history of ideas and the influence of German Idealism on Russian thought. His current work explores Nikolai Berdyaev's relationship to Arthur Schopenhauer.
Matthew Sullivan holds a Master's degree in Medieval Studies from the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing a Master's in History at Queen's University, specializing in the Russian Renaissance. A polyglot, he speaks Russian, Japanese, and Serbian, among other languages. He plans to continue his interest in Russian intellectual history and theology at the PhD level.
Laura Picard-Morin is a first-year master’s student in Digital Humanities at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Her current research focuses on the Franco-Russian intellectual network surrounding Nikolai Berdyaev between 1924 and 1948, with particular attention to his reception in France.
Ilias Stanekzai is a PhD student at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow. He is currently preparing his PhD thesis on the thought of Simone Weil. His main scholarly interests include the history of ideas, the philosophy of religion, and the relationship between literature and philosophy.
